I recently had the opportunity to photograph a massive buildout project in Tempe, Arizona for Gilbane Building Company. Gilbane builds and develops some of the most high profile projects around the world, so naturally I was very excited about the commission to photograph some of their work here in Arizona.
I’m not at liberty to say what the specific project is, but I can show some of the images from our shoot without revealing Gilbane’s client directly.
We ran into a few obstacles over the course of the shoot. The building itself was still being renovated on many of the floors, so we were limited to shooting on only 2 of the floors. Additionally, some of the areas we photographed weren’t 100% ready, so there was some extensive retouching to be done in order to deliver the final images.
There were a total of 2 shoot days, which had to be scheduled during off hours due to construction crews working during the day and employees using the available finished areas for training and work. I’m very happy with the way the images turned out and I’d curious to hear what you think!
